Description

Come ready with your questions, as we host an Ask An Attorney webinar, with our experienced attorney partner, Kenda Dalrymple. She will discuss what practice goals you may have set and how you might best access information and resources for accomplishing those goals, including contacting TPA and attending CEUs and the conference for networking and education opportunities.Additionally she will discuss some considerations in general for established and new practices: business entity choice, licensed practice versus consultation and "coaching" and other revenue streams, keeping up with new laws, rules and regulations, liability insurance to protect both license and business, telehealth versus in-person, practice compliance documentation, employment versus independent contracting and where it is helpful to work with a business attorney versus a healthcare regulatory attorney, etc

Dalrymple, Shellhorse, Ellis & Diamond, L.L.P. (DSED)

Kenda Brashear Dalrymple is the Managing Partner of Dalrymple, Shellhorse, Ellis & Diamond, L.L.P. (DSED) and in that role, she is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the firm.  Mrs. Dalrymple received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Baylor University and her law degree from Baylor University School of Law.  She began her legal career at Davis & Davis, P.C. and spent nearly ten years practicing insurance defense and administrative law.

When she moved her practice to Brown & Carls, L.L.P. in 2001, she had no idea that the firm would become her home for over two decades.  As partners arrived and left, Brown & Carls, L.L.P. turned into Carls, McDonald & Dalrymple, L.L.P. and finally evolved into the current firm, which remains one of the oldest woman-owned law firms in Austin.

The focus of her practice is defending medical and mental health professionals in licensing board complaint cases and she has represented hundreds of physicians, nurses, psychologists, mental health counselors, pharmacists, and other licensed professionals in complaint cases.  She also advises and consults with corporate and individual healthcare clients on matters related to risk management, operations, regulatory compliance, and professional ethics.
